At Gleamingson Auto Detail, we offer a comprehensive paint correction service that removes surface imperfections and damage such as swirl marks, fine scratches, bird droppings, acid rain etching, and isolated deep scratches. Our advanced techniques guarantee beautiful and flawless paintwork.

Our paint correction process involves the following steps:

  • Thorough decontamination: We wash away surface dirt and remove any bonded debris such as tar spots and industrial fallout.

  • Paint thickness measurement: We use special gauges to identify uneven surfaces, and then examine the paint carefully under halogen or LED lamps to reveal any and all imperfections.

  • Masking: We mask off sensitive areas to prevent staining or damage from machinery and products. We take the utmost care during these important masking steps.

  • Paint removal: Once fully prepped, we use non/diminishing abrasives via paint safe machinery to remove a fine amount of paint, level the surface, and remove heavier defects.

  • Polishing: We apply a range of silicone-free polishes and compounds to refine the surface, restore depth and clarity, and continually measure the paint thickness to ensure an even finish. If scratches are too deep to safely remove without risking further damage, we round off the imperfections at the edges to make them less visible in direct light.

  • Panel wipe: We wipe down the panels with a body shop strength panel wipe to remove any oils from the polishing process, revealing the true finish. The surface is now free of defects and ready to be protected.

  • Protection options: From this point, you may choose your method of protection: Carnauba, Synthetic Sealant, or Paint Coating (Ceramic or Graphene). We recommend replacing the removed clear coat with a Ceramic or Graphene coating to lock in your new surface and provide long-lasting protection.

At Gleamingson Auto Detail, we take great pride in our paint correction services and the optimal results we deliver. Trust us to restore your vehicle’s paintwork to its original beauty.
